Grading Brussels Sprouts by size requires a sorting machine that is gentle, precise and fast. The straight rollers on the Kerian Sizer, as seen in the video, are designed specifically to handle the Sprouts as gently as a roller grading table.
The opening between the rollers consistently and slowly increases as the rollers carry the Brussels sprouts forward. Straightened rollers eliminate any pinching or squeezing during sizing. The takeaway conveyors can be positioned a few inches below the rollers so that the Sprouts are carried to the side of the Sizer, neatly sorted by size. Dividers on the takeaway conveyors can quickly adjust the sizing. With thirteen different standard models there is a Kerian Sizer that is perfect for your line.
